So, what is hydrocarbures?

Hydrocarbons are organic compounds composed of only carbon and hydrogen atoms. They are commonly found in petroleum and natural gas, and can also be produced through various industrial processes. As a food ingredient, hydrocarbons are used primarily as a source of energy, as they are broken down into carbon dioxide and water during metabolism. However, they are not typically added to foods as a standalone ingredient, but rather occur naturally in many food sources such as fats and oils. While hydrocarbons are safe for human consumption in moderation, excessive consumption can lead to negative health effects such as weight gain and increased risk of certain diseases.
