So, what is fish bladder?

Fish bladder, also known as swim bladder, is an internal gas-filled organ found in certain species of fish. This translucent membrane is located in the abdominal cavity and is responsible for regulating the fish's buoyancy. It is often used in the food industry as a clarifying agent for wines and beers due to its ability to remove impurities and cloudiness. In some traditional cuisines, fish bladder is also used as a culinary ingredient, particularly in Chinese cuisine where it is believed to have medicinal properties. However, due to the rarity and cost of obtaining fish bladders, it is not a commonly used ingredient in modern cooking.
