So, what is glucose-fructose?

Glucose-fructose, also known as high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS), is a common sweetener derived from corn starch. It is a mixture of glucose and fructose, with varying proportions depending on the grade of the syrup. This ingredient is widely used in the food industry as a cheaper alternative to sucrose and is commonly found in processed foods and beverages, including soft drinks, baked goods, and candy. While HFCS has been linked to health concerns, such as obesity and type 2 diabetes, it remains a popular ingredient in the food industry due to its sweetening power, low cost, and versatility in food processing.
